Stylefile '03 – Hues of Bengal

July 12, 2003

National Gallery of Modern Art, Mumbai

This was the first show outside the city and it was the first time that Stylefile had partnered with ‘The RPG Collection of Contemporary Art’ from Bengal.

The then RPG Group Chairman, Mr Harshvardhan Goenka had organised an exhibition of paintings from Bengal for public view. These exclusive paintings were a part of his private collection.

The fashion show was the inaugural part of the exhibition which displayed the works of Sabyasachi Mukherjee, Sharbari Dutta and Darshan Shah who are particularly known for experimenting with Bengali motifs and weaves.

The models who showcased the exquisite designs included Dipannita Sharma, Shayan Munshi, Niketan Madhok, Tapur & Tupur Chatterjee, who sashayed down the spiralling steps of the NGMA under the choreography of Sharmila Roy Khanna.
